"With body, mind and spirit functioning perfectly as a coordinated whole... such a body, freed from nervous tension and over-fatigue is the ideal shelter for housing a well-balanced mind.", Joseph Pilates (1880 - 1967) |

I trained as a Pilates Foundation Matwork teacher at the incredible Scott Studio in Castle Cary. My interest in Pilates began over 10 years ago whilst looking for an antidote to the stresses of my previous career in Marketing. Through a serious back injury, I was forced to leave my Marketing job and re-assess my future. Realising the incredible impact that Pilates had on my own rehabilitation, I embarked on training to be a Pilates Foundation Teacher to try and help others in the way that my amazing teachers helped me.
I am taking classes of all levels as well as focusing on Back Care sessions and Pre / Post Natal Classes (registered with the Guild of Pre / Post Natal Instructors)
After completing the matwork course, I felt so exhilarated by the intense training program and depth of knowledge learnt, that I immediately started the Studio Equipment Course, this takes at least an additional 18 months to complete. |
